Ben Porter, a Rain City Badger, sent us the following photo's from the
dedication ceremony of the Porter Boathouse
which was dedicated in memory of his dad and his two brothers who
were Badgers in the 30's. The Porter Boathouse is twice the size of
the Conibear Shellhouse, covers three floors, and is dedicated
solely to men's and women's rowing. The Wisconsin crew shares its
shellhouse with the Wisconsin football program and other general
athletic department programs. The photos show the new rowing tanks;
the facility from Lake Mendota; the reception area which can be
divided into three work out areas for the three Wisconsin rowing
programs: men's, openweight women's, and lightweight women's.
